Why we don’t Sell Single-jet Meters
At first glance, single‑jet meters look like the obvious choice.
They’ve been around forever. They’re inexpensive. They’re easy to spec.
But when you zoom out and do the long‑term math, the story changes.
The real issue: accuracy drops fast
Single‑jet meters tend to lose accuracy quickly, often in 5 years or less.
And when accuracy drops, everything downstream gets harder:
· More replacements (and more disruption)
· More admin work (more exceptions, more “why is my bill different?”)
· More resident disputes (and more time spent explaining)
· Less profit for property managers (because the system becomes a headache)
Cheap upfront. Expensive later.
